2026 Fall - CGSA Rec - Fall 2026

Thank you for your interest in Colleyville Girls Softball. Players from all cities can register and play without paying a non-resident fee. Getting your player registered is quick and easy.

This fall, CGSA is excited to offer 8U Premier and 10U Premier teams. Families may select the Premier option during registration. Premier teams are tryout-based selections, and players who are not selected for a Premier roster will automatically be placed on a recreational team. Participation in tryouts is required to be considered for a Premier roster. Tryouts will be held on August 1st.

In the fall, we schedule 8 regular season games for 6U and 10 regular season games for all other age groups, followed by a single elimination end-of-season tournament. We will do our best to get all games played depending on weather conditions. Most games are played on Saturdays, but in the event of rainouts, games may need to be scheduled on other days, including Sundays.

8U Premier, 10U Premier, 12U, 14U, and 16U teams will participate in the DFW Interlock League, with games hosted in Colleyville, Flower Mound, Southlake, and Grapevine.

CGSA has moved to USA Softball age classification rules, changing the cutoff date from January 1 to August 31 of the prior year. This shift is aimed at aligning with school grades and creating a more consistent experience for players. CGSA abides by the current USA Softball rules for Fastpitch Softball, and this age change was enacted by USA Softball several years ago. We have added an age calculator to our website to help assist with this change.

Practices will begin August 10th (practice dates and times will be determined at the coaches meeting in August). The End of Season Tournament will begin October 24th. Rainout dates for 6U, 8U Rec, and 10U Rec will be October 31st. For additional important dates, please see the calendar section of the CGSA website.
